easy yeast bread

Ingredients:

500 grams of All purpose Flour

7 grams of dry yeast

1 flat spoon sugar

350 ml of water

50 ml of water for the starter

2 teaspoons salt

Process:

You should start by making the starter, which is combining the dry yeast with the 50 ml of lukewarm water. Let it activate for around 15 minutes.

After this, combine all the ingredients together in a mixer or by hand. The dough is pretty wet, so I would suggest to use a mixer in this case.

The ready mix can now be transferred into a baking mold. For this recipe, I used a regular cake mold in a shape of a rectangle.

It’s a good idea to rub the mold with butter and flour for the ease of taking it out later from the mold. If you wish, you can also use baking paper.

The bread needs to be in the oven for 1 hour at 200c.

To give it some color, you can egg wash the top of the bread.

The bread is ready once reached 90c. inside or, by hearing an “empty” sound when tapping on it.

I know it’s difficult, but you should leave the bread to rest for at least 30 minutes after baking.
